San Jose is our largest service area by volume, and about 25 minutes down the 880 from our Fremont office. We cover the whole city, from Willow Glen and Almaden through to Berryessa, Evergreen and North San Jose.
The variety here is wider than anywhere else we work. Eichlers in Willow Glen and Palo Alto-adjacent tracts have notoriously tight electrical rooms and radiant slab heating, which complicates conduit routing. Newer Berryessa and North San Jose builds typically have 200-amp service and dedicated EV-ready conduit already stubbed to the garage — in those, install time can drop under three hours.
North San Jose has heavy commercial and multi-tenant office density, and workplace charging is where we do most of our commercial work in the city. The recurring pattern is a property manager who needs eight to twelve ports but has no spare service capacity. Dynamic load sharing on a shared feeder almost always resolves that at a third of the cost of new service.
Permits run through the San Jose Building Division. Residential EV charger permits are commonly handled online, though plan check on commercial multi-port projects takes longer and is worth starting early. We handle submission and inspection.
